Coach Jimmy has been coaching with
the Plantation Swim Team since 1990. A former PST swimmer, he
joined the coaching staff in 1990 as Head Age Group Coach. In 2000,
Coach Jimmy took over the program as head coach.
In the past 19 years coaching at PST, Jimmy has coached over 100
National Top 16 swimmers. He has been the Florida Gold Coast Age
Group coach of the year twice. He has been on the Florida Gold
Coast Zone Team Coaching Staff for 5 years. Jimmy is also the Head
Women’s coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and has led
them to 7 consecutive State Championship titles.
Coach Jimmy is certified Level 5 with the American Swimming
Coaches Association. He has been named the 2002 National High
School Athletic Association Southeastern Coach of the Year, Florida
Dairy Farmers 2A Coach of the Year and Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel
Coach of the Year. He has hosted/directed USA Swimming Racing Camps
and is a licensed Swim America Director.
As a swimmer, Jimmy was a National Top 16 performer, Florida Gold
Coast record holder, High School All-American, US Open, Junior
National, and Senior National Qualifier. In college, Jimmy
established his school’s records in the 100 & 200
breaststroke, 200 & 400 IM, 50 & 100 Free. He was an NCAA
Qualifier in the 100 & 200 Breaststroke, 200 & 400 IM and
50 & 100 Free. He was Conference champion & record holder
in the 100 & 200 Breaststroke, 200 & 400 IM and 50 &
100 Free.
Dave Wathen
Animal Group Coach, Owner PST Sunrise

Coach Dave has been coaching
swimming since 1978. He is certified Level 5 with the American
Swimming Coaches Association, the highest possible level. Since
1993, he as served as a head coach of three teams that have won LSC
Championships. He has developed National Age Group Record holders,
Junior National and Senior National level swimmers and Zone
Champions. In 2005, Coach Dave received the Walt Deichert
award as the Florida Gold Coast Age Group Coach of the
Year.
Coach Dave owns Sunrise Swimming. His current PST duties include
coaching the National training group at Central Park. Coach Dave
stresses developing life skills through swimming. His wife, Christi
is a psychologist, runs the Sunrise program and was an All
American swimmer at UF. He has two sons, Alec and Matt.
Dolores Campbell
Age Group 1, Blue Group

Coach Dolores has been coaching for
the Plantation Swim Team since 1989. She is certified Level 3 with
the American Swimming Coaches Association and has been coaching for
30 years. She currently coaches the Senior 1 and Blue Groups as
well as coaching and overseeing the Masters program at PST.
As a competitive swimmer, Dolores set County and District High
School records in both Freestyle and Backstroke and finished 3rd in
the 100 yard freestyle in her Florida High School State
Championships. She went on to compete for 8 years as a Masters
swimmer. Her goal is to pass on the positive influence swimming has
had on her life, and make workouts challenging but fun.
Coach Dolores has also worked with numerous Zone and All Star
coaching staffs during her years coaching in the Florida Gold
Coast.
Terrell Woods
Red, White, Age Group 1 & 2, Water Polo

Coach Terrell has been involved in
the Florida Gold Coast as both a swimmer and coach since 1996.
Coach Terrell swam at Pine Crest from 1996-2001. While a member of
the Plantation High Swim Team, the Colonels won the district
swimming title in 99', 00' and 01', with Coach Terrell taking 4
individual and 6 relay victories. The Plantation Men's Water Polo
Team also won disticts in 00' and 01'. Both years Coach Terrell was
selected to the Broward County All-Star Team. While attending
Florida State, Coach Terrell was a member of the Florida State
Water Polo Club and Capitan/President from 04’-06’,
twice being selected to the Southeastern All- Conference squad. He
began coaching at PST in August of 2006. In 2007, Coach
Terrell guided Plantation High School to the men’s water polo
district title. Since joining PST, he has been selected to coach
both the 2007 All-Star and 2008 Zone teams for the Florida Gold
Coast.
Coach Terrell is also the Head
Coach of the Plantation Water Polo Club here at Central Park. In
the fall of 2009, Coach Terrell also became the Head Swimming and
Water Polo Coach at Western High School.

After almost a 10 year hiatus from coaching at PST, I am
back.
Starting back in the very early 90s coaching the Baby Piranhas
and then one of the 5 o'clock groups, I have had the privilege
of watching many fine athletes grow and now either
swim in the senior groups or into their college
years.
Both of my kids went thru the PST program from start to finish
and I am a strong believer in staying loyal to the program.
As you can see, even when on hiatus, I was still around.
Being competitive all my life has given me the opportunity to
understand the ups and downs of each and every athlete.
Understanding, Motivation and Positive Reinforcement are the
keys to a successful program.
It's not about my accomplishments, it's about bringing out the
best in our kids!
